Opportunity for Peer Counselor Certification Training
DVSAC is offering its semi-annual Peer Counselor Certification training beginning September 23, 2010. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer on our crisis line or in entering the field of crisis counseling, this class is for you. You can learn to stop the cycle of violence and learn valuable communication skills by volunteering with DVSAC. HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY! Orientation will be held on Thursday, September 23, from 6 to 7:30 pm. Please call Sheri Meckler in advance to reserve, as space is limited. Cost is $35 (for educational materials).

Walk-In Support Group for Women, Tuesdays and Thursdays
Tuesdays, 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, and Thursdays, 5:30 to 7 pm. Free support group for women suffering from the effects of domestic violence or sexual assault. Groups are held at 960 McCourtney Road, Suite G, Grass Valley. Drop-ins welcome.

Group for Adults Molested as Children - Wednesday, 6:00 - 7:30
This free group is for men or women 18 and over who continue to suffer the effects of early childhood sexual molestation. Starting July 8, 2009, this group has a new time. It will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30. Please call to register for the group with our group facilitator, a licensed therapist.
