Smart Giving Techniques to Increase Your Support of DVSAC
The Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as determined by the Internal Revenue Service. Our tax ID number is 94-2688893. All gifts are tax-deductible. An outright donation is one that has an immediate benefit to support DVSAC. Below is a variety of gifts we can accept and possibly some ideas that may help you consider how to increase your support. If you want to donate now, please use the “DONATE” button at the bottom of the page.
Cash Cash gifts are an excellent way of supporting DVSAC. Cash gifts include checks, drafts, and money orders. If your gift is mailed to DVSAC before the end of the calendar year, simply list the gift in the itemized area when doing your taxes, you’ll be eligible for an income tax deduction for that year. Gifts of cash are deductible for up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. Cash contributions that exceed the deduction limit may be carried over and deducted in the following five tax years. If you would like to donate money to be used for a specific purpose, please be sure to let our office know what area you want it designated to.
Shelter Donations If you would like to make an in-kind donation to our shelter, please take a look at our wish list.
Grocery Rewards Programs These rewards programs are easy and efficient ways to raise funds for DVSAC. Use your rewards card when purchasing groceries at the participating stores and each swipe of the card earns 3% of the purchase for DVSAC. Our organization will receive a quarterly check for the benefits. It is an easy way to give and show your support.

Cell Phone Recycling DVSAC receives funds from the Shelter Alliance for each donated phone. We collect used, unwanted, old, or even damaged phones on an ongoing basis which provides a continual source of funds. Shelter Alliance is a member of the National Recycling Coalition and accepts all types of cell phones. This program provides a way to address environmental concerns of old phones ending up in landfills while providing a number of DV organizations with a source of income. Please bring in your old cell phone to the DVSAC office or ask friends and family members who are upgrading, if they would be willing to donate. For more information: www.shelteralliance.net
