Crisis Line Volunteers

Training is provided for all volunteer tasks.  In the case of volunteers who deal with clients on the crisis line or in person, a mandatory 80-hour training is required.  This includes enrollment for the course Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Intervention and 14 hours of on-site training at the DVSAC office and Nevada County Courthouse.  At the end of this training, qualified volunteers will receive certification as a peer counselor.

For upcoming trainings go to our Calendar of Events
