Wish List for our Shelter

DVSAC opened a shelter for our clients February 2011 and we are still in need of some items if you would like to make a donation. Some of the items are needed on an ongoing basis and some items we need just to finish furnishing the house. We ask that the shelter donations are new or in lightly used condition. You can drop items off at our office, 960 McCourtney Rd, Suite E, Grass Valley or you can call us and we can arrange a meeting at our storage. Items to finish furnishing the shelter:

1. Indoor and Outdoor Plants
2. Floor and Desk Lamps
3. Closet Organizers
4. Baby Gates or Car Seats (must be new)
5. Throw Rugs
6. Pots and Pans, especially skillets
7. DVD Player and DVDs*

Items needed on a regular basis:

1. Toiletries- new* (soap, deodorant, feminine products, hair brushes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, body wash)
2. Bedding- twin size (blankets, pillows, pillows cases, sheets)
3. Kid stuff (diapers*, pull ups, wipes, bottles)
4. Kitchen products (sandwhich bags, trash bags, tin foil, plastic wrap, dish soap, paper towels, hand towels, coffee and coffee filters, dishwashing detergent, plastic tuperware, napkins)
5. Pre-paid phone cards
6. Cleaning supplies*
7. Towels (for bathroom and the kitchen, washcloths*)
8. Packages of socks* (adult and children size)
